In the summertime, the mall’s many flowerbeds are filled with vibrant tulips in every hue you can imagine, and in the wintertime, you’ll find a wonderland of twinkling lights. You’ll also find a myriad of restaurant options and an AMC movie theater – perfect for a local date night!

Graue Mill and Museum

Open from mid-April through mid-November, the Graue Mill and Museum is the perfect place to take your kids for an educational day trip over their summer break. There are three children’s programs at the Graue Mill, allowing them to hear about what it would have been like to escape slavery on the Underground Railroad, learn how to study and identify historical artifacts, and learn about the Native Americans’ connection to corn and why it was such an important crop, followed by a “make ‘n take” corn husk doll demonstration.

Oak Brook Park District Family Recreation Center

At the Family Recreation Center, you and your kids can get active together. You can practice yoga in one of two studios, practice your jump shot on the court, swim laps at the aquatic center, or get in some cardio in the fitness center. If your kids are still a bit too young to participate, they’ll enjoy some time in the preschool wing of the Recreation Center while you finish your workout.

Fullersburg Woods & Nature Education Center

From hiking to cross-country skiing, there’s a way to enjoy every season at Fullersburg Woods Forest Preserve. There’s even a Nature Education Center where educational programs for all ages are offered, focusing on topics like natural resources, wildflower identification, and even tapping maple trees!
