Summer Vehicle Care Tips
Things to Check on Your Vehicle this Summer
Suggested Emergency Kit
- Radiator and coolant should be checked for proper level and quality to prevent overheating.
- Wiper blades should be checked to properly clear rain.
- tires should be checked for proper inflation and remaining life so they can properly channel away water and prevent hydroplaning.
- Belts and hoses should be checked and replaced if brittle or swollen.
- Charging system should be checked (starter-alternator-battery). Did you know there are as many if not more battery failures in hot weather as in the cold.
- Engine and transmission oils should be checked and changed if dirty or expired. Higher temperatures decrease clearances and increase friction causing damage.
